Tiki Bob Tiki Bar Logo Men's T-Shirt #1
Opened in 1955 by a former Trader Vic's bar manager, Tiki Bob's stood at the corner of Post and Taylor Streets in San Francisco. The logo, designed by Alec Yuil-Thornton, was distinctive and is still a popular design. The smiling tiki logo still stands in front of the old location which is now something called Honey Honey. Tiki Bob's did not last long. The owner, Bob Bryant, tried to franchise his concept with a spot at the Capitol Inn in Sacramento, but closed locations soon after that. The mug that features the logo character was one that you could get for free if you ordered the specialty of the house; The Super Sneaky Tiki. The mug remains a highly sought after collectible to this day. This image was taken from a different matchbook than our other Tiki Bob listing and is the more commonly seen design. Digitally traced and redrawn from an old matchbook in order to make it look better large on a shirt, this is being offered on a dark chocolate colored t-shirt in order to make some of the details pop a bit more.
