Rodchenko Treghornoe Beer Russian Vintage Advertising Art T-Shirt

This is a reproduction of an advertising poster Aleksandr Rodchenko, a noted Russian illustrator, photographer and graphic designer. An ad for  Trehgornoe Beer, a Russian brewery, it proclaims that Treghornoe Beer will drive out “Hypocrites and moonshiners”.

I am not certain what the actual reference means, one of the words clearly is the Russian word that sort of translates to moonshine, so I guess that Treghornoe was meant to be so good and yet so accessible that it would make people stop drinking crappy grain alcohol. Wonder how that worked out.

This is a digital reproduction of the original poster. Scanned from a small postcard, this was cleaned up and traced allowing it to scale up and print without jagged artifacts.
