Hurricane Cove Catalina Island Tiki Bar Polynesian Restaurant Matchbook Shirt

Hurricane Cove was the name of a restaurant bar attached to the Waikiki Hotel on Catalina Island. One of the few, if not perhaps only, Polynesian themed businesses on Catalina, it may or may not have been inspired by one of the many tropical themed fims shot on the island, including the 1937 film The Hurricanedirected by John Ford, with Dorothy Lamour, Jon Hall, Mary ;Whatever the case, Hurricane Cove featured some of the best live music and entertainment on Catalina and was in operation until the late 1970's when a fire destroyed both the hotel and the bar/restaurant. This shirt comes from art scanned from a matchbook by us, cleaned up then hand redrawn in a vector image program to provide the best possible resolution for this really cool piece of ;The image is printed on a light blue t-shirt. The original matchbook art featured a predominantly pink background, however we know that not a lot of men wear pink shirts (we will offer a pink version on a ladies shirt in a separate listing).
