Bob Brooks Seven Seas Tiki Bar Shirt
Bob Brooks Seven Seas Tiki Bar Shirt
Located just blocks away from Don the Beachcomber, Ray Haller opened his Seven Seas Restaurant and Bar which quickly became a hot spot for Hollywood celebrities. The Seven Seas decor featured lava rocks, tropical plants and a bar with a corrugated metal roof which enhanced what was its coolest feature, an indoor tropical rainstorm with authentic thunder sounds.
Bob Brooks took over the Seven Seas in the late 1930s and set about stealing bartenders from Don the Beachcomber and introducing live entertainment to the space featuring a Polynesian musical revue.
Come the 1960s restaurant was sold again and became The Seven Seas Supper Club and quickly went to seed. The low point when was new owner was tried, alongside John Holmes, for their roles in the infamous Wonderland murders.
The art for this t-shirt is a digital reproduction of one of the Seven Seas matchbooks. Scanned, traced, and slightly re-designed to make it look better on a t-. on a 100% ring-spun cotton t-shirt using our very own DTG (direct-to-garment) printer.
